Elastic waist skirt with Cyanotype prints and contrast panels.
The pattern on this garment was created using the cyanotype process, a form of photography invented in the 1840s. To obtain this vivid blue, we treat our silk with a photosensitive solution, which produces ferric ferrocyanide (also known as prussian blue) when exposed to sunlight. The floral designs you see are negatives derived from wildflowers gathered in Austin, TX.
100% silk crepe de chine.
The blue dye on this garment is permanent, and will not bleed or transfer.
