Behind the Scenes: Our Spring 2015 Shoot

Another season, another line! Our Spring 2015 collection is fully formed, and we have the photos to prove it. I may be a little biased here, but I think it's our best one yet. This collection (in stores next Spring) features our signature silks, a soft palette of ballet pinks, taupe, and baby blue, and our first ever prints- inspired by the scientific illustrations of Ernst Haeckel.

In the spirit of our oceanic prints, we shot our latest lookbook at the Austin Aqua-Dome, one of my favorite shops in Texas, and possibly the strangest fish store in existence. The store is housed in a monolithic dome, which was built in the 80s as an exotic pet store. It's now home to two floors of fish, coral, and aquatic sundries. The grounds feature koi ponds, fountains, and plenty of turtles. We had a blast shooting here. Many thanks to Gary, Melissa, and the Aqua-dome staff for letting us explore their mystical aquatic playground!

Here's a glimpse behind the scenes at our shoot.

Our shoot was split between indoors and outside. It was a very hot, sunny day, and looking at the shady indoor photos I actually feel the AC washing over me...

Look for our beautiful lookbook on the site this Fall!
